LAWASSA is an integrated concept inspired by the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with a strong emphasis on physical and human geography activities, both above and below the earth’s surface. The term “LAWASSA” represents activities involving Land, Air, Water Alignment that are accountable for generating Sustainable Solutions for Action without depleting resources for future generations.
This approach underscores that all development activities, especially large-scale industrial or infrastructure projects and human actions, must have measurable targets to track progress. LAWASSA encourages governments, private sectors, and civil society to align policies and practices with sustainable objectives, fostering innovation, resource-sharing, and partnerships.
A Learning Management System (LMS) – LAWASSA was developed to provide a comprehensive platform offering innovative courses focused on resources and processes. This LMS utilizes advanced technology to collect relevant data and analyze it using scientific methods.
LAWASSA’s focus is not merely on business operations for profit but emphasizes Environmental Stewardship to support climate action, sustainable life on land and below water, and Social Equity. It aims to address inequalities by promoting gender equity, eliminating poverty and hunger, ensuring good health, and providing essential amenities like clean water and affordable energy.
